LIFE-STEP™ Professional - Healthcare Workforce Readiness. A free 15-hour workforce-readiness program that helps adults build the digital, professional, communication, cybersecurity, financial integrity and workplace skills needed to prepare for healthcare and home healthcare pathways.

Tech 4 All Tennessee has been awarded funding through the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development's Rural Works Healthcare Initiatives program to expand healthcare workforce-readiness training across 10 East Tennessee counties.
The initiative is expected to serve approximately 240 participants in Anderson, Blount, Cocke, Cumberland, Loudon, Monroe, Morgan, Roane, Sevier and Union counties between July 2026 and June 2027.
Success will depend on strong regional partnerships with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology, Local Workforce Development Boards, American Job Centers, healthcare employers and community organizations. Partners can help refer participants, identify workforce needs, host training and connect graduates with employment opportunities.
LIFE-STEP™ Professional Healthcare helps participants strengthen the practical skills employers expect in today's healthcare and home healthcare environments.
Windows basics, email, online forms, Microsoft 365 and workplace technology.
Clear, respectful communication with supervisors, coworkers, patients and families.
Reliability, attendance, accountability, time management and professional behavior.
HIPAA and privacy awareness, patient respect, documentation habits and appropriate workplace boundaries.
Safe technology use, phishing prevention, secure devices and appropriate AI use in work settings.
Paychecks, budgeting, timekeeping, honesty, protecting client property and avoiding scams.
This program is for rural adults who are interested in entering or advancing toward healthcare and home healthcare pathways.
